FAQ
What is Laser Coaching?
These are coaching sessions dedicated to a very specific challenge the client wishes to drill down into. They are available to individuals who have been through coaching and understand the framework necessary to utilize these powerful laser sessions. They are not meant as single sessions for individuals new to coaching.

Why do I have to commit to 3 months?
Coaching is like running a marathon or losing 100lbs - it takes time and practice to build a solid foundation designed to hold your future. The more solid the foundation, the more permanent the future reality will be. Over the course of the 12 initial sessions each client will dive into ego, values, purpose, image, responsibility, power, forgiveness, intention, and so much more - and they do this while building out the vision they wish for themselves.

What do you mean by spirituality?
Spirituality is surrendering to an outside influence that holds more power than you. It might be nature, or religion, or God, or energy, or a loved one who has passed. It's NOT about religion or praying - it's about a deep understanding of how truly small we are in this world. I meet people where they are at on their spiritual journey - regardless of whether it's the beginning or well on their way.

How is coaching different from counselling?
Coaching and counselling are very different experiences. Counselling often deals in the past and with emotions while coaching works with thoughts and actions and lives primarily in the present and the future. Although we understand the past has gotten us to where we are today, we also recognize that all possibility, and opportunity live in the future and are a direct reflection of our thoughts, choices, and actions. Often, clients are working with both a counsellor and a coach at the same time but, as a coach, we are very clear when to refer out.

How would I know if I am ready for coaching?
You are a coachable client if you have the emotional and psychological awareness and agility to create a vision for your future. While you may have self-doubt, fear, or a lack of clarity and low levels of life satisfaction, you still know there is something bigger available to you. You are ready, willing, and able to look at the parts of you that have been hidden. And, you're ready to do the work without attachment to excuses.

Do you coach in person?
I only coach virtually and each session is 60 minutes long. This allows me to coach people anywhere in the world and it allows me to coach FROM anywhere in the world. However, I do leadership training, workshops and retreats in person.

Will I have homework?
Yes and no. You decide what you are willing to declare for practice between sessions and I hold you accountable to what you say you will do. Some people love to have lots of 'homework' or 'practices' and others like to take it slow. There is no right or wrong way. Having said that, the change you seek actually occurs BETWEEN our sessions and the rate at which you change is dictated by how much of what you say you will do, you do.

What is the benefit of doing a program with coaching versus straight coaching?
All of the programs allow the individual to explore a series of coaching skills outside of the coaching session, which saves time teaching the skill during the coaching sessions. We are then free to explore the skill, tool, or exercise relevant to the project you are working on. With straight coaching, I often have to teach the skill, lesson, or tool within the session.
